Top 20 Budget Looper Pedals Under $50, $100, $150, $200

If you are looking to build a perfect pedalboard, you might want to consider adding a looper pedal. These are excellent for practice and experimenting with your creativity and music. The entire idea behind looper pedals is quite simple.

Looper pedals allow you to record a section on your guitar and play it back after. It is a perfect opportunity to practice guitar, and feel as if you were playing with a band. The most common use of loopers for beginners is to use it to record rhythm guitar or guitars and play a solo over it.

Naturally, you can experiment with it in many different ways as well. Looper pedals are not only for beginners and for practice, and they can be an interesting tool to use even if you are experienced.

As with any other piece of equipment, looper pedals can be quite expensive. But this doesn’t mean that you can’t find cheaper options that will be able to do the job.

Top 5 Budget Looper Pedals Under $50

The first category on the list is reserved for the low-budget looper pedals you can find on the market. This includes any pedal under $50.

However, this doesn’t mean that pedals are bad, and you might be satisfied with the options you’ll find here. Naturally, it all comes down to your budget and what you’re trying to achieve with the pedal.

As for the construction, the looper is made of aluminum alloy, it’s sturdy, and looks great. You can record up to ten minutes of play, and overdub it as many times as you feel like it. The pedal comes with a 1GB memory card. It’s easy to use, looks great, and it’s quite affordable.

The pedal has a single-level potentiometer and a switch for turning it on and off. As with other examples in this category, the pedal allows up to ten minutes of looping, and you can connect it to your PC using a USB port.

Lekato is one of the best budget loopers you can find, and the pedal is quite easy to use. You have a single knob and a footswitch at your disposal, and they are used to control every single aspect of the looper. Once again, the main problem is the length of the recording, and it allows you to loop up to five minutes. Naturally, you can overdub it, undo, delete, and edit it as with other looper pedals out there.

It is a great pedal for those that want a simplistic design, and don’t need lengthy recordings.

It is difficult to create a list of great budget pedals without mentioning Donner. The company has been around for quite a while, and they design budget guitar equipment among other things. This means that you can find any type of pedal for a reasonable price, and the quality is surprisingly good.

Donner Triple Circle allows you to record up to 160 minutes in total, and you can edit, redo, overdub, and play with it as much as you want. The pedal is simple to use. There is a drum machine with 100 Rhythms. There are two knobs for selecting the different saving slots, the different drum grooves, adjusting the volume, and the bpm. Firstly, the pedal has a display you can use to navigate through your recordings. The pedal allows you to overdub as many times as you like, and there is a single footswitch for control.

The display is useful to know the length of the recording and plan when to end it. Lekato Loop Station is compact, durable, and it’s a great choice for beginners. Finally, you can easily upload all of the recordings using USB, and connect them to your PC for further editing.

Top 5 Budget Looper Pedals Under $200

The final category is for looper pedals between $150 and $200. Going above the $200 price tag would not be considered a budget option, but there are plenty of options you can find here. Each of the pedals will offer something different, and the main question is what are you trying to achieve.

Here, you will notice that a lot of pedals and I mentioned before will reappear only with a better version.

There are eleven delay types, and you can easily select the looper using the knob on the top. If you are interested in delay and what it can do, you can check out the video below. It will give you a nice idea of what the pedal can achieve, and it is a well-made piece of gear.

Finally, you can try out something different. As you are probably aware already, Zoom G3n is not a loop pedal per se, but it offers a looper as one of 70 effects. This is a multi-effect pedal that’s perfect for beginners and those that are looking for more than one guitar effect.

Of course, if you already have a pedalboard, getting a multi-effect pedal or processor might not be the best idea. However, if you just started experimenting with effects, getting an all-in-one pedal might be a good choice.

Finding a perfect pedal is always challenging. But one of the main factors that will determine which one you’ll choose is your budget. If you are looking for a looper pedal, you’ll be delighted to know that you can find them in nearly any price range.

The cheapest models are slightly under $50, and the price increases from there. As you go up the price range, the quality increases as well, and you can find pedals with additional effects like a drum machine, delay, and others.

It is up to you to decide which one suits your taste and style, and hopefully, you will be able to find one that’s perfect for you without spending a fortune on it.
