Chords like A major, D major, and E major are some of the easiest chords to play. They are also part of some of the easiest chord progressions that beginners use for practice. Many songs include only these three chords, which gives the beginner a chance to learn songs and not just play downstrokes while practicing chords and transitions between them.
Therefore, songs with A, D, and E chords make the practice more interesting and keep the entry-level players dedicated to learning. These three chords don’t require challenging fingers’ positions, and chord changes are easy to perform. Absolute beginners may struggle with some things, such as E to D transition and reverse. But practice it with downstrokes only, and you’ll soon be able to implant it into the song.
A beginner needs to have a list of songs that don’t include any hard-to-play chords and difficult chord changes. That helps him/her to shine from the very beginning and to keep the motivation.

Glory Days – Bruce Springsteen

Common People – Pulp
Released in 1995 as the track of Pulp’s fifth studio album Different Class. It was voted the greatest Britpop song and reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. The lyrics came from the student that a Pulp member met at the college, and it talks about gentrification. Many musicians recorded their versions of the song.
The song is catchy, and the melody came from the small Casiotone keyboard that a band member bought at the exchange shop. Play A, E, and D along with the downstrokes. Add a capo on the third fret.
Goner – Twenty One Pilots
Goner is a song first released in 2012. It was produced and written by Tyler Joseph and Ricky Reed. The song is the last one from the Blurryface album, and it’s an extended version of the band’s song called I’m A Goner from Joseph’s album No Phun Intended.
You can play the whole song with a D-E-D-A pattern and an easy strumming pattern. Absolute beginners may struggle with the D-E transition, but a little bit of practice will make every challenge disappear. Stir It Up is a song composed and first recorded by Bob Marley in 1967. It was covered by Johnny Nash about five years later. Also, an Australian band called The Black Sorrows recorded their version of the song, which reached number 20 on New Zealand’s charts.
